Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Creamy Chicken and Veg Pizza Recipe

  • Chicken boiled and cubed 1 cup

  • Button mushrooms sliced 7-8

  • Yellow capsicum cut into triangles 1 medium

  • Red capsicum cut into triangles 1 medium

  • Corn kernels boiled For topping

  • Dough for pizza as required

  • Oil for greasing

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 tablespoon + for dusting

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Milk ½ cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Mozzarella cheese grated as required

  • Processed cheese grated as required

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray with some oil.

Step 2

Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.

Step 3

Place each ball on worktop, dust some flour on top and roll out to make a thin disc. Place on the greased baking tray, cover with damp muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10 minutes.

Step 4

To prepare white sauce, heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add 1 tablespoon flour and sauté for 30 seconds. Add milk, whisk and cook till it thickens. Remove from heat, add salt and whisk well.

Step 5

Spread some white sauce on proven dough. Top with some mushrooms, yellow capsicum, red capsicum, corn kernels, chicken cubes, some mozzarella cheese and processed cheese.

Step 6

Place the baking tray in preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7

Cut into wedges and serve hot.
