Ingredients 

  • 2 cups raw cornflakes
  • Oil for deep-frying 
  • ¼ cup raw peanuts
  • 10-15 dry coconut (khopra) slices
  • 2 tablespoons black raisins
  • 10-15 curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon powdered sugar

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide the raw cornflakes and deep fry till they expand, and become golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  2. In the same hot oil, deep fry peanuts till crisp and crunchy. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  3. Deep fry coconut slices till crisp and crunchy. Drain on the absorbent paper.
  4. Deep fry raisins till they puff up, drain on an absorbent paper. Add curry leaves and deep fry till crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  5. In a large bowl, add fried cornflakes, peanuts, curry leaves, dried coconut, and raisins. Sprinkle salt, and sugar, and mix well.
  6. Serve.
