Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Pesto With Spaghetti Recipe

  • Chicken breasts 1 inch pieces 2

  • Spaghetti boiled and drained 200 grams

  • Fresh basil leaves 1 cup

  • Garlic cloves 5-6

  • Pinenuts 1/4 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons

  • Parmesan cheese 1/3 cup

  • White sauce 3 tablespoons

  • Milk 1/4 cup


Step 1

To make pesto sauce, blend together basil leaves, garlic, pinenuts, salt and two tablespoons olive oil to form a smooth pesto sauce. Add Parmesan cheese and blend again.

Step 2

Dilute the white sauce with milk and transfer into a pan and set aside.

Step 3

Heat half tablespoon olive oil in a pan, add the spaghetti and toss. Sprinkle a little salt and toss till heated through. Transfer into a serving plate to form a bed.

Step 4

Heat remaining olive oil, add chicken pieces and sauté for two to three minutes. Add the prepared pesto and sauté on high heat. Add white sauce and mix well. Season with salt and mix well.

Step 5

Once the chicken is cooked pour it over the spaghetti and serve immediately.
