While nothing can beat the joy of cooking fresh pasta at home, store bought variety works well for the busy bees. Remember thicker pasta shapes go well with more consistent, heavier sauces, while chunkier sauces are suited for pasta with ridges or holes. As for noodles toss them up you’re your favourite oriental sauce and have a delicious meal ready in a jiffy. Left over mains of pasta and noodles make great ingredients for salads, soups, bakes and croquettes the next day!

Ingredients for Cajun Sausage Macaroni Recipe

  • Macaroni boiled 2 cups

  • Sausages italian, cut into ½ inch piece 10-12

  • Cajun spice mix 1 tablespoon

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh cream ¼ cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Parmesan cheese grated 1 tablespoon

  • Parsley chopped, 1 tablespoon + for garnishing


Step 1

Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add sausages, mix and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add cream, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add sausages, mix and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add cream, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Add parmesan cheese and parsley, mix and cook for 1 minute.

Step 4

Serve hot garnished with chopped parsley.
