Wonder Dough

Success of some recipes like that of kulcha, bhatura, naan etc. depends a lot on the dough. The right proportion of all the ingredients, the right kneading and the right proving is very necessary to get the right texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups refined flour (maida)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons oil

Method

  1. Take refined flour in a large parat. Add salt, baking soda, yogurt, oil and around ¼ cup water and mix well. Knead to a soft dough and continue to knead for 5 minutes. Once the dough is smooth, cover with a bowl and set aside to rest for 3 hours.
  2. Use this wonder dough for making kulchas, naan, bhatura, etc.
