Ingredients
- A generous pinch of saffron
- 2 tablespoons warm milk
- 50 grams butter
- 50 grams icing sugar
- 80 grams refined flour (maida)
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- A pinch of salt
Method
- Take warm milk in a bowl, add saffron and mix well.
- Take butter in another bowl and beat with an electric beater till light. Add icing sugar and beat till light and fluffy.
- Add refined flour, green cardamom powder and salt and mix well. Further continue to beat with the electric beater till well combined.
- Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- Line a greased baking tray with parchment paper and pipe small portions of the mixture on it keeping sufficient distance between each.
- Sprinkle pistachios on top and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Keep the tray with the cookies in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Bring the tray out of the oven and allow to cool.
- Store in an airtight container or serve in a serving bowl.
