Ingredients
- 1½ cups rice flour
- 1 cup chopped jaggery
- 1¼ teaspoons fennel powder
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- Ghee for cooking
Method
- Heat a kadai, add jaggery and ¾ cup water and cook till jaggery melts. Set aside to cool down.
- Take rice flour in a bowl, add fennel seeds, green cardamom powder and strain the jaggery syrup directly into the bowl. Mix well. Add ¾ cup water and mix well to make a smooth batter.
- Heat a non-stick tawa. Spread a ladleful of batter evenly, drizzle ghee and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook on other side for 2-3 minutes more. Similarly use up all the batter.
- Arrange the puas on a serving plate and serve.
