Methi Sambharo

Methi sambharo is a popular spice powder from Gujarat which has a dominant flavour of mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. It can be sprinkled on thepla, paratha, dhokla or khakhra.

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Switch the heat off and allow to cool completely.
  2. Put split mustard seeds and split fenugreek seeds into a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
  3. Transfer this in a large plate, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and salt and mix well.
  4. Add the cooled oil and mix again. 
  5. Store in an air tight container and use as required.
