Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons split fenugreek seeds (methi na kuria)
- ¼ cup groundnut oil
- 1 cup split yellow mustards (rai na kuria)
- ½ cup red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
- ¼ cup salt
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Switch the heat off and allow to cool completely.
- Put split mustard seeds and split fenugreek seeds into a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
- Transfer this in a large plate, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, and salt and mix well.
- Add the cooled oil and mix again.
- Store in an air tight container and use as required.
