Ingredients
- 250 grams bottle gourd (lauki)
- Salt to taste
- 3 cups chilled yogurt
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- Roasted cumin powder to sprinkle
- Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method
- Peel and grate lauki. Transfer it into a deep non-stick pan, add 4-5 cups of hot water and salt and cook for 4-5 minutes. Drain out the water and let the lauki cool.
- Take yogurt in a bowl, add red chilli powder and salt and whisk well. Add the bottle gourd and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, sprinkle roasted cumin powder and coriander leaves and serve.
- Chef’s tip: Ensure to squeeze out excess water from the cooked lauki.
