Ingredients
- 4 white bread slices
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- Fine vermicelli as required
- Refined flour slurry for coating
- Oil for deep frying
- Ready-made rabdi to serve
- Warm sugar syrup
- Pistachios powder for sprinkling
- Dried rose petals for garnish
Method
- Take 1 white bread slice and sprinkle ½ cup mozzarella cheese and cover with another bread slice to make a sandwich. Make another sandwich similarly and trim the edges of both sandwiches.
- Coarsely crush the vermicelli.
- Dip the sandwich into the refined flour slurry and coat with the crushed vermicelli mixture.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the sandwiches, one at a time, and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- For each serving, generously spread rabdi on a serving plate. Place a fried sandwich on it, drizzle warm sugar syrup over it, sprinkle pistachios powder, garnish with dried rose petals and serve.
