Ingredients
- ½ cup cashewnuts (kaju), coarsely powdered
- 2 cups grated khoya/mawa
- 1 cup coarse gram flour (jada besan)
- ⅓ cup ghee
- 2-3 teaspoons poppy seeds (khuskhus)
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Method
- Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan, add coarse gram flour, mix well and saute, stirring continuously, on low heat till it turns golden brown and fragrant.
- Switch the heat off, add grated khoya and mix till well combined, mix and sauté on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer this mixture into a large parat and allow to cool down to room temperature.
- Add powdered sugar and mix well with your hand. Take small portions of the mixture and tightly roll it into a ball. This is a laddoo.
- Arrange the laddoos on a serving plate and serve. Or store them in an airtight container preferably in the refrigerator.
