Kaju Khoya Besan Laddoo

For Indians any festival means loads of sweets. Especially during Diwali most of them make besan laddoo. Here we have brought you the recipe of besan laddoo made extra flavourful and extra tasty with the addition of khoya. Do give it a try and you will not regret it.

Kaju Khoya Besan Laddoo

  • ½ cup cashewnuts (kaju), coarsely powdered
  • 2 cups grated khoya/mawa
  • 1 cup coarse gram flour (jada besan)
  • ⅓ cup ghee
  • 2-3 teaspoons poppy seeds (khuskhus)
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


  1. Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan, add coarse gram flour, mix well and saute, stirring continuously, on low heat till it turns golden brown and fragrant. 
  2. Switch the heat off, add grated khoya and mix till well combined, mix and sauté on low heat for 1-2 minutes.  
  3. Transfer this mixture into a large parat and allow to cool down to room temperature.
  4. Add powdered sugar and mix well with your hand. Take small portions of the mixture and tightly roll it into a ball. This is a laddoo.
  5. Arrange the laddoos on a serving plate and serve. Or store them in an airtight container preferably in the refrigerator.
