Ingredients
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2-3 tablespoons chopped spring onion greens
- Baked pita chips for serving
Method
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add onions and sauté till golden brown.
- Add smoked paprika powder, onion powder and salt, mix well and saute for 1 minute more. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool.
- Take cream cheese and mayonnaise in a bowl and beat with an electric beater till smooth.
- Add the sauteed onion mixture and spring onion greens and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve with baked pita chips.
