Ingredients list for Wheat Dosa
- 1 cup Whole wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon Rice flour
- a pinch Asafoetida (hing)
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon Green chillies chopped
- 5-6 Curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon Cilantro chopped
- 1 teaspoon Roasted cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 small Onion finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Carrots grated
- 3 teaspoons Yogurt
- 3 tablespoons Oil
Method
- In a bowl combine together whole wheat flour, rice flour, asafoetida, salt, ginger, green chillies, cilentro, roasted cumin seeds, onions, carrots, yogurt and sufficient water and make a thick consistancy batter.
- Heat oil in a non stick tawa and pour a laddleful of batter on it and spread it in a circular motion as thin as possible.
- Drizzle a little oil all around and let the dosa cook on medium heat. When ready the edges will begin to separate from the tawa.
- Remove and serve hot with chutney.
