Ingredients list for Vegetable Tempura
- 1 medium Carrot
- 1 medium Red Capsicum
- 1 medium Yellow capsicum
- 1 medium Green capsicum
- 1 medium Onion
- 1/2 medium Cauliflower
- for deep-frying Oil
- 3/4 cup Refined flour (maida)
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder
- as required Ice cubes
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a deep non-stick pan. Diagonally slice the carrot. Cut all the capsicums into thick strips. Cut onion into rings. Separate the cauliflower florets.
- Mix refined flour with salt and white pepper powder in a bowl. Add sufficient water and 10-12 ice cubes and whisk to make a smooth batter.
- Dip vegetables one by one in the batter, slide into hot oil and deep fry till crisp and golden brown.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
