Ingredients list for Vegetable Pilaf - SK Khazana
- 1/4 cup Carrots finely chopped
- 1/2 cup Cauliflower florets boiled with turmeric powder
- 2 tablespoons French beans finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked for 15 minutes and drained
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 Bay leaf
- 10-12 Black peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
- 1 Medium onion finely chopped
- 6-8 Walnut kernels
- 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- 1 to garnish Fresh parsley sprig
Method
- Heat olive oil and butter in a deep non-stick pan, add bay leaf, peppercorns, garlic and onions and sauté till translucent and fragrant.
- Add carrots, cauliflower and French beans, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add rice, 3 cups water, walnuts, parsley and salt, mix well, cover and cook till fully done.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with parsley sprig and serve hot.
