Ingredients list for Til Gur Chawal
- 1 tablespoon White sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds (kale til)
- 3/4 cup Jaggery (gur) grated
- 3 cups Basmati rice cooked
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 cup Mixed nuts (walnuts and cashewnuts) chopped
- a pinch saffron strands
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- ½-¾ cup Milk
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mixed nuts, white sesame seeds and black sesame seeds and sauté till white sesame seeds turn golden.
- Add jaggery, reduce heat and cook till it melts. Add saffron strands, cardamom powder and milk, mix and cook for a minute.
- Add India Gate Basmati Rice, spread evenly on top of the jaggery mixture and cook for a minute. Mix on high heat and cook for 3-4 minutes or till the mixture dries.
- Serve hot.
