Ingredients list for Thai Baked Drumsticks

  • 8 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 medium Lemongrass roughly chopped
  • 8-10 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch stick Lemon grass
  • 1 tablespoon Tamarind pulp
  • 1 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • a pinch Brown sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vinegar
  • for greasing Oil

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Put onions, garlic, lemon grass, tamarind pulp, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, salt and vinegar in a blender jar and blend to a fine paste.
  2. Make a few slits on chicken drumsticks and apply the marinade over them. Keep them in the refrigerator to marinate for two to three hours.
  3. Grease a baking tray with oil and place the marinated drumsticks on the tray. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for twelve to fifteen minutes, basting with oil at regular intervals. Serve hot.
