Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Tex Mex Chilli Sandwich-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts 2

  • Brown bread slices 8

  • Tomato puree 1/2 cup

  • Brown sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Garlic-green chilli paste 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons

  • Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Paprika 2 teaspoons

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Mayonnaise 4 tablespo for drizzling

  • Mixed salad leaves a few

  • French fries to serve

Method

Step 1

Mix together tomato puree, brown sugar, salt, crushed peppercorns, garlic-green chilli paste, tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and paprika in a bowl.

Step 2

Add chicken breasts, mix well and set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat oil and butter in a non-stick grill pan. Place marinated chicken breasts in it and grill, turning sides, till fully cooked and evenly done on both sides. Remove from heat and cut into slices.

Step 4

Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise on 4 bread slices. Top with some mixed salad leaves and some grilled chicken slices.

Step 5

Drizzle some more mayonnaise on top, cover with remaining bread slices and halve.

Step 6

Serve immediately with French fries.
