By Sanjeev Kapoor 24 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Large potatoes, White bread slices Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Tawa Aloo Sandwich 3 Large potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 8 White bread slices 1 Small onion chopped 3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped to taste Salt 2 Green chillies chopped 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masla 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon Schezwan sauce as required Butter to serve Green chutney to serve Tomato ketchup Method Take mashed potatoes in a bowl, add onion, coriander leaves, salt, green chillies, chaat masala powder, red chilli powder and Schezwan sauce and mix well. Apply butter on 4 slices of bread, place some potato stuffing on each of them and spread evenly. Place cheese slices on top of potato mixture. Place the remaining slices of bread over the cheese slices, apply butter on top of each sandwich. Heat a non-stick tawa, place the prepared sandwiches with the buttered side facing the tawa, apply butter on top and cook the sandwiches, turning sides till evenly golden brown on both sides.
