Ingredients list for Sweet Potato Snack Gnocchi
- 3 medium Sweet potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese powder
- a pinch Nutmeg powder
- 1 Egg yolk
- to taste Salt
- ¾ teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- + for dusting Refined flour (maida) ½ cup
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- to taste Salt
- 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese powder
Method
- Combine the potatoes, parmesan cheese powder, nutmeg powder, egg yolk, salt, half teaspoon crushed peppercorns and flour in a bowl, mix and knead into a soft dough.
- Mix together the ingredients for the seasoning and set aside.
- Roll the dough into a cylinder of two centimeter diameter and further cut into one inch pieces. Dust them with flour, press them with a fork lightly to flatten a little.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan. Deep-fry the prepared gnocchis till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle the seasoning on top and mix lightly. Serve immediately.
