Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Stir Fried Chicken - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken breast 300 grams

  • Broccoli 250 grams

  • Button mushrooms 10-12

  • Spring onion greens 2 stalks

  • Salt to taste

  • Blended sesame oil 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Oyster sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Green chilli sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Dark soy sauce a few drops


Step 1

Cut broccoli into medium sized florets and set aside. Halve mushrooms. Chop spring onions greens. Cut chicken into ½ inch cubes.

Step 2

Boil sufficient water in a deep pan, add salt and broccoli and blanch them for 2 minutes. Drain and soak in ice cold water.

Step 3

Heat oil in a non-stick wok, add garlic, mix and sauté till lightly browned. Add chicken cubes and sauté on high heat for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4

Add mushrooms, mix. Add salt, mix well and sauté for 4-5 minutes on high heat.

Step 5

Add oyster sauce, green chilli sauce and dark soy sauce, mix well and sauté for 1 minute. Add broccoli and sauté for 2 minutes. Add ½ the chopped spring onion greens, mix well and sauté for 1 minute. Take the pan off the heat.

Step 6

Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with remaining spring onion greens and serve hot.
