Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Spicy Paneer Fritters Recipe

  • Paneer grated 225 grams

  • Red Chilli Paste 2 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic grated 2 cloves

  • Ginger grated 1 inch piece

  • Spring onion bulb finely chopped 1

  • Salt to taste

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Spring onion greens chopped 2 stalks

  • Fresh coriander leaves 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Place paneer in a bowl. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cumin seeds and when they begin to change colour add garlic and ginger and saute for 1 minute. Add onion and salt and saute till onion softens.

Step 2

Add flour and continue to sautefor some time. Transfer this mixture into the bowl with paneer. Add red chilli paste, spring onion greens, coriander leaves and mix well.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a round cake.Dust them with a little flour, brush with a little oil.

Step 4

Keep them on the net in the air fryer and fry at 200°C for 10-12 minutes. Serve hot.
