Sev and Garlic Sandwich

This unique sandwich consists of garlic and jalapeños mixed with yogurt and then topped with sev. Do try this sandwich which is slightly different than your usual veg sandwich but tastes amazing! This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel.

Ingredients list for Sev and Garlic Sandwich

  • Nylon sev as required 
  • 20-25 cloves garlic
  • 8 brown bread slices
  • 2 tablespoons oil + for greasing 
  • 10 slices pickled jalapenos
  • 3 tablespoons hung yogurt
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic cloves and saute them on medium heat till they are golden brown.
  2. Transfer them into a chopper jar and let them cool down. Add jalapenos, hung yogurt and salt and chop finely.
  3. For each sandwich take 2 bread slices and spread this mixture over them. Spread a generous layer of sev on one slice and cover with the second slice.
  4. Grease a sandwich toaster with a little oil, place a sandwich in it, close and grill over medium heat, turning sides, till both sides turn golden and crisp.
  5. Halve each sandwich diagonally, place them on a serving platter and serve hot.
