Ingredients list for Sausage Stuffed Chillies
- 16 Sausages
- 8 Bhavnagri green chillies
- 3 tablespoons Oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1 inch Ginger chopped
- 4-5 Garlic cloves chopped
- 1/4 cup Roasted peanuts
- 8-10 Fresh basil leaves
- 1 Fresh red chilli
- 2 teaspoons Honey
- 1 Lemon
- 1 teaspoon Dark soy sauce
- to taste Salt
Method
- Give a small slit on the chillies on one side and roast them on direct flame till lightly charred. You can also roast them in a pan or in a preheated oven.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non stick pan, add onion, ginger and garlic and saute till fragrant. Transfer into a bowl.
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in the same pan, add sausages and saute till they get lightly burnt.
- Dip the chillies in cold water and peel them. Slit one side almost completely and remove seeds.
- Crush peanuts, basil leaves, red chilli, sausages, coarsely in a chopper and put into a bowl. Add dark soy sauce, honey, juice of 1 lemon and mix well. Add a pinch of salt and mix.
- Stuff this mixture into the chillies and serve at room temperature.
- You can even chill them before serving.
