Ingredients list for Saijan Phalli Tadkewali
- 6 Drumsticks peeled and cut into 3 inch pieces
- 3/4 teaspoon Scraped fresh coconut
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 tablespoon Coriander seeds
- 4 Dried red chillies
- 12-15 Curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur)
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 cup Scraped fresh coconut
Method
- Heat 2½ cups water with ½ tsp turmeric powder and a little salt in a deep non-stick pan. Add drumsticks, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or till the drumsticks are cooked. Strain and keep aside in a bowl.
- Heat oil in another non-stick pan. Add coriander seeds and red chillies and sauté for half a minute.
- Add curry leaves, drumsticks, red chilli powder, remaining turmeric powder, black pepper powder, dried mango powder and salt and toss well.
- Add coconut and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
