Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes , boiled and peeled
- 10-12 almonds, blanched and peeled
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 3/4 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup grated mawa
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon green cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 4 dried button red chillies
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Method
- Cut potatoes into ½ inch pieces and set aside.
- Put almonds and poppy seeds in a blender jar and blind to a fine powder.
- Take yogurt in a bowl, add almond-poppy seed powder, mawa, salt and green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add button red chillies and ginger, mix and sauté for 1 minute. Add the potatoes, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
- Add the yogurt mixture and mix well. Cook for 4-5 minutes on medium heat.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprigs and serve hot.
