By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Cooked Rice, Brown Bengal Gram Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Rice aur Chane ki Tikki 1 1/2 cups Cooked Rice 1 1/2 cups Brown Bengal Gram cooked 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped 1 teaspoon Cumin powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon Black salt (kala namak) 1 teaspoon Chaat masala 2 medium Onions finely chopped 3 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch to deep fry Oil Method Grind together the Bengal gram, rice, ginger, green chillies, cumin powder, red chilli powder, black salt and chaat masala to a coarse mixture. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add the onions and cornflour and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Divide the mixture into twelve equal portions and shape each into a tikki. Gently slide them into the hot oil, a few at a time, and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper and sprinkle some chaat masala over them. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.
