Ingredients list for Ragi Oats Cookies With Banana Milkshake

  • Ragi oats cookies
  • 1/2 cup Finger millet (ragi) flour , roasted
  • 1/4 cup Oats , roasted
  • 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Butter , chilled
  • a few drop Vanilla essence
  • as required Milk
  • for greasing Oil
  • Banana milkshake
  • 1 Ripe banana
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon Honey

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  2. Sift together roasted finger millet flour, wheat flour and powdered sugar into a bowl. Add oats and mix well.
  3. Add baking powder and butter and rub it in with finger tips till you get a breadcrumb like texture.
  4. Add vanilla essence and milk and knead into soft dough. Grease your palms with a little oil, divide the dough into equal parts and shape them into cookies.
  5. Place the cookies on a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  6. To make milkshake, peel and chop banana and put it into a smoothie jar. Add milk, peanut butter and honey and blend till smooth.
  7. Remove the cookies from oven and set aside to cool. Once cooled, pack them in tiffin box.
  8. Pour the milkshake into a mug flask.
