Ingredients list for Quick Oatmeal Uttapam
- 1 cup Oats
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- a pinch Soda bicarbonate
- 1 inch pie Ginger finely chopped
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1/4 medium Green capsicum finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- for cookin Oil
- 2-3 stalks Spring onion greens trimmed
Method
- Grind together oats, suji and asafoetida and transfer into a bowl.
- Add yogurt, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, soda, ginger and water as required to make a thick batter.
- Keep aside for 10-15 minutes. Add onion, green capsicum and salt and mix well.
- Heat a non stick tawa. Spread a little oil with a tissue paper.Spread a ladleful of the batter on the tawa and drizzle a little oil around it.
- When the underside is golden, flip and cook on the other side similarly.
- Arrange spring onion greens on a serving plate and transfer the uttapams on it. Serve hot.
