Ingredients list for Poha Kheer -SK Khazana
- 1/2 cup Red rice poha
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Ghee
- 10-12 Cashewnuts
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Raisins
- 4 cups Milk
- 3/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1 teaspoon Rose water
- A few dried rose petals
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick deep pan, add cashew nuts and sauté for a few seconds. Add raisins and sauté till it puffs up. Take them out and set aside.
- In the same pan, add red rice poha and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Slightly crush the poha with the spoon to smaller pieces.
- Add milk and mix well. Let the mixture come to a boil. Lower the heat and cook till the poha is cooked completely.
- Add sugar and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook till the sugar is dissolved.
- Add rose water, dried rose petals, a portion of the fried cashew nuts and raisins. Mix well and take it off the heat.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve garnished with rose petals.
