Ingredients list for Plum Chenna Payasam

  • 8-10 Plums chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Chenna crumbled
  • 7 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Khoya/mawa crumbled
  • 1/2 litres Milk
  • a pinch Green cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon Pistachios slivered

Method

  1. Grind plums into a purée and transfer into a non-stick pan. Add 4 tbsps sugar and cook for 10-12 minutes or till the mixture thickens.
  2. Add chenna and khoya and mix. Add milk, green cardamom powder, pistachios and remaining sugar and mix well. Cook till the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve.
