Ingredients list for Pineapple Fritters
- 1 medium Pineapple peeled, cored and sliced
- ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1½ teaspoons Baking soda
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Milk
- 1 Egg yolk beaten
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla essence
- to shallow fry Butter
- for dusting Powdered sugar
Method
- Put flour, baking soda, sugar and salt in a bowl and mix well.
- Put milk, egg yolk and vanilla essence in another bowl and mix well. Add this mixture to the flour mixture and whisk well to make a thick smooth batter.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan.
- Dip pineapple slices in the batter and place them on the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly golden on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
