Ingredients
- 2 white bread slices
- 2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon red chilli paste
- 3 tablespoons green chutney
- 2 pavs
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- ½ cup cheese
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh coriander
Method
- Place white bread slices on top of one another and remove the edges.
- In a bowl, add bread slices soak them in water and squeeze out water.
- Take potatoes in another bowl, add breads, mash them and mix well. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well. Take a ball sized portion of mixture and shape into a round pattice. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a non-stick tawa, add pattice pieces, flip on other side and cook on medium heat till golden brown on both the sides.
- Remove pattice on a plate.
- Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add red chilli paste and green chutney. Mix well.
- Sauté on medium heat till oil separates.
- Slit pavs into halves and place over mixture. Mix well. Flip over and cook on another side. Place pattice pieces on pav and add 1 tomato slice on each pattice, onion chopped, grate and add ¼ cup + ¼ cup cheese on each pattice, 1 tbsp +1 tbsp of green chutney on each pattice, 1 tsp + 1 tsp chopped coriander on each pattice.
- Transfer pattice pav on a serving plate.
- Serve hot.
