Ingredients list for Papaya Chutney
- 1 medium Papaya Ripe
- 1 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds
- 1/4 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- 2 tablespoons Fennel seeds (saunf)
- 1/4 tablespoon Cumin seeds
- 2 Whole dry red chilli
- 1/2 teaspoon Ginger,grated
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Tamarind paste
- 3 teaspoons Sugar
- a pinch Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies, ginger , turmeric powder and salt and saute for few minutes.
- Add papaya and cook till it becomes soft. Add sugar and tamarind paste and cook for five minutes. Serve with rotis or paranthas.
