Ingredients list for Paneer Chilli Puffs-SK Khazana
- 100 grams Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into small cubes
- 2 Green chillies diagonally sliced
- 1 Medium green capsicum cut into medium square pieces
- 250 grams Puff pastry douh
- 1 tablespo for greasing Oil
- 1 Medium onion cut into small cubes
- 1 tablespoon Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 cup Vegetable stock
- 1 tablespoon Cornflour slurry
- to taste Black peppercorns crushed
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Spring onion greens finely chopped
- for brushi Butter
- to sprinkle White sesame seeds (safed til)
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add garlic and mix.
- Add green chillies and capsicum, mix and saute for a minute. Add soy sauce, mix well and cook for a minute.
- Add vegetable stock and cornflour slurry, mix well and bring to a boil. Add crushed peppercorns and salt and mix.
- Add cottage cheese, mix well and cook till the mixture thickens. Add spring onion greens and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray with some oil.
- Dust the worktop with some dry flour and roll out puff pastry dough into a large sheet. Trim the edges to make a neat square. Further cut into 4 equal squares.
- Place a spoonful of cottage cheese mixture in the centre of each square, bring the four corners to the centre and seal to make square puffs.
- Place the puffs on the greased tray, brush them with some butter and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
