Ingredients list for Oats Upma
- 1 cup Oats
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Black gram split (urad dal dhuli)
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- 8-10 Curry leaves
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 5-6 French beans chopped
- 1 medium Carrot chopped
- ¼ cup Green peas
- to taste Salt
- ½ cup Milk
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add urad dal and sauté till they turn golden brown. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and onion and saute till onions turn light brown.
- Add beans, carrot and green peas and mix well. Add salt and mix well. Cook on low heat till vegetables till cooked.
- Add oats and mix well. Add milk and cover and cook for two minutes.
- Serve hot.
