Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup jaggery powder
- 1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- ¾ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ green cardamom powder
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2-3 tablespoons milk
- ¼ cup chopped cashew nuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Sift together whole wheat flour, baking powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and salt into a bowl. Add rolled oats and mix well.
- Take butter in a mixing bowl, add jaggery powder and cream with an electric beater till mixture becomes creamy.
- Add milk and mix until combined. Add the flour mixture and fold in till everything combine well together. Add cashew nuts and mix well to form dough.
- Divide the dough into equal portions, shape them into balls and slightly flatten each. Place them on a baking tray.
- Place the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven allow to cool.
- Arrange on a serving plate and serve. Or store in an airtight container.
