Ingredients list for Mushroom-e-Nazakat

  • 8 Big Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Cheese grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Paneer (cottage cheese) grated
  • 1 teaspoon Mixed herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kasoori methi
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dry mango powder (amchur)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons coriander leaves chopped
  • Butter to roast


  1. Clean the mushrooms in water to remove the dirt. Remove the stem of each mushroom and set aside.
  2. Dry the mushrooms and place them in the bowl. Add salt, cornflour, lemon juice and black pepper powder. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl mix cheese, cottage cheese, herbs, kasuri methi, dry mango powder, cumin powder, ginger garlic paste, sugar, coriander leaves and salt. Mix well.
  4. Fill the stuffing in the mushrooms, and cover with the stems.
  5. Grease the oven tray and place the mushrooms on it.
  6. Bake the mushrooms in a preheated oven at 150º degrees for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
