Mushroom Tikki

Ingredients list for Mushroom Tikki

  • 12-15 Button mushrooms
  • Potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 4 large Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 2-3 Green chillies chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 cup Semolina (rawa/suji)

Method

  1. Boil mushrooms in water for about ten minutes. Drain and chop them finely.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and sauté till soft and translucent. Add mushrooms and sauté till all the moisture gets evaporated.
  3. Take potatoes in a bowl. Add green chillies to the mushrooms and mix. Add this mixture to the potatoes and mix well. Add coriander leaves and salt and mix.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Keep semolina in a plate. Shape the mixture into tikkis. Roll them in semolina, press slightly and shallow fry till golden.
  5. Serve hot.
