Ingredients list for Murgh Sabz Khichdi
- 1/4 cup Chicken 1/2 inch pieces
- Rice
- 1/2 cup Rice soaked
- 6-8 florets Cauliflower
- 2 tablespoons Green peas shelled
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 4-5 Cloves
- 5-6 Black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger finely chopped
- 6-8 cloves Garlic finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
Method
- Heat ghee in a pan. Add cloves, black peppercorns, cumin seeds and sauté. Add onion, green chillies, ginger and garlic and sauté. Add cauliflower and chicken and mix.
- Add rice and dal, turmeric powder and salt and stir well. Add four cups of water and bring to a boil. Add green peas and stir. Cover and cook till done. Serve hot.
