Ingredients list for Mozzarella Stuffed Croquettes
- 200 grams Potatoes cut into 12 long sticks
- 2-3 medium Mozzarella cheese boiled, peeled and mashed
- 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese powder
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black peppercorns crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs
- for deep-frying Oil
Method
- Mix potatoes, Parmesan cheese, salt, crushed peppercorns and nutmeg powder in a bowl.
- Break the egg into a small bowl and whisk. Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Divide the potato mixture into twelve equal portions and stuff each portion with a mozzarella cheese stick and shape them into a croquette.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Dip the croquettes in the egg, roll in the breadcrumbs and slide into hot oil. Deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
