Ingredients list for Mozzarella Kulcha
- 3 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 5 tablespoons Butter
- to taste Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- for greasing Oil
- for brushi for basting Melted butter
- Stuffing
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 5-6 Garlic cloves finely chopped
- to taste Salt
- ¼ cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Take flour in a bowl. Add baking powder, castor sugar, butter and salt and mix. Add milk and knead into a soft dough. Cover with damp muslin cloth and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
- To prepare stuffing, take cheese in another bowl. Add garlic, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Preheat oven to 200° C.
- Grease a baking tray with some oil.
- Dust the dough with some flour, divide into equal portions and shape into balls.
- Divide the stuffing into equal number of portions as the dough.
- Dust the worktop with some flour and roll out each ball into small thick disc. Place a portion of the stuffing in the center of each disc, bring the edges together, press lightly to seal and shape into balls.
- Dust the worktop with some flour, place each ball, lightly press to flatten and roll out into small thick discs.
- Place the discs on the greased tray and lightly brush with some melted butter.
- Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.
- Halve and serve hot.
