Ingredients list for Mongolian Chicken - SK Khazana
- 400 grams Boneless chicken cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespo to deep fry Oil
- 1/4 cup Cornflour
- to taste Salt
- to taste White pepper powder
- 2-3 Spring onion bulbs chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- 5-6 Garlic cloves sliced
- 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
- 3-4 Fresh red chillies slit
- 1 stalk + to garnish Spring onion greens Sliced
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Mix together cornflour, salt and pepper powder in a bowl. Add chicken strips and mix well.
- Slide the chicken pieces into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non-stick deep-pan, add spring onion bulbs and sauté for a minute.
- Add ginger paste and garlic slices, mix and sauté till fragrant.
- Add soy sauce and brown sugar, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add red chillies, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add fried chicken strips, salt, pepper powder and spring onion greens. Mix well, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
