Ingredients list for Mongolian Chicken - SK Khazana

  • 400 grams Boneless chicken cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • 1/4 cup Cornflour
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste White pepper powder
  • 2-3 Spring onion bulbs chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 3-4 Fresh red chillies slit
  • 1 stalk + to garnish Spring onion greens Sliced

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Mix together cornflour, salt and pepper powder in a bowl. Add chicken strips and mix well.
  3. Slide the chicken pieces into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non-stick deep-pan, add spring onion bulbs and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add ginger paste and garlic slices, mix and sauté till fragrant.
  6. Add soy sauce and brown sugar, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add red chillies, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Add fried chicken strips, salt, pepper powder and spring onion greens. Mix well, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with spring onion greens and serve hot.
