By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2017 in Recipes Veg New Update Mango Pachidi Main Ingredients Raw mango, Jaggery (gur) Cuisine Tamil Nadu, Kerala Course Pickles, Jams and Chutneys Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 raw mango, cut into cubes 1/2 cup jaggery (gur), grated 2 green chillies slit 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 1 tablespoon rice flour 1 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds Method Cut mango, without peeling, into small pieces. Heat 2 cups water in a non stick pan and add mango pieces, turmeric powder, green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add jaggery and mix well. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt.Mix rice flour with ¼ cup water and add to the pan. Heat oil in a small non stick pan and add mustard seeds. When the seeds splutter add the tempering to the mango pachidi. Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Cool and serve at room temperature.
