Ingredients
- 1 raw mango, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup jaggery (gur), grated
- 2 green chillies slit
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon rice flour
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
Method
- Cut mango, without peeling, into small pieces.
- Heat 2 cups water in a non stick pan and add mango pieces, turmeric powder, green chillies and mix well. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add jaggery and mix well. Cover again and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add salt.Mix rice flour with ¼ cup water and add to the pan.
- Heat oil in a small non stick pan and add mustard seeds.
- When the seeds splutter add the tempering to the mango pachidi.
- Cover and cook for 1-2 minutes. Cool and serve at room temperature.
