Ingredients list for Lychee Phirni

  • 25-30 Canned lychee chopped
  • 1 1/2 cup Rice
  • 3 tablespoons Basmati rice soaked and ground
  • 1/2 litre Milk
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup Khoya/mawa grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon Rose water
  • 10-12 Almonds blanched and sliced
  • 10-12 Pistachios blanched and sliced

Method

  1. Mix together milk and lychee in handi. Add ground rice and mix. Add sugar and mix. Add green cardamom powder and mix well.
  2. Add khoya, rose water and mix well. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  3. Once it cools, transfer into serving bowl. Garnish with lychees, almonds, pistachios and serve.
