Ingredients list for Lasooni Palak Pulao- Sk Khazana
- 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked for 15 minutes and drained
- 2 tablespoons Garlic finely chopped
- 2 cups Spinach leaves (palak) shredded
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 5-6 Black peppercorns
- 1/2 inch stick Cinnamon
- 3-4 Cloves
- 2 Green cardamoms
- to taste Salt
- for garnish Fried garlic
- for garnish Fried spinach
- to serve Boondi raita
Method
- Heat ghee in a deep non-stick pan, add black peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms and garlic, mix well and sauté till it turns golden brown.
- Add rice and mix well. Add salt and 2½ cups water and mix well. Cover and cook till rice is almost cooked.
- Add spinach and mix with a light hand. . Cook for 1-2 minutes and take it off the heat.
- Transfer the rice into a serving bowl, garnish with fried garlic and fried spinach and serve hot with boondi raita.
