Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Prep Time : 16-20 minutes

Cook time : 11-15 minutes

Ingredients for KURKURE MOMOS - skk Recipe

  • Chicken mince 200 grams

  • Momo dough roundels as required

  • Small onion finely chopped 1

  • Small carrot peeled and finely chopped 1/2

  • Celery stick finely chopped 2 inches

  • Dried mixed herbs 1/2 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chili flakes 1/2 teaspo to sprinkle

  • Fried garlic 1/2 teaspo to sprinkle

  • Egg wash as required

  • Cornflakes crushed as required

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Cheese sauce to serve

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped to garnish

Method

Step 1

Take chicken mince in a bowl, add onion, carrot, celery, dried mixed herbs, black peppercorns, salt, red chilli flakes and garlic and mix well.

Step 2

Place some chicken mixture in the centre of each dough roundel, apply water on the edges, shape into momos and seal the edges.

Step 3

Take egg wash in a bowl, add salt and mix. Spread crushed cornflakes in a plate, add salt and crushed black peppercorns and mix.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan.

Step 5

Dip each momo in egg and roll in the spiced cornflakes. Dip again in the egg and roll in the spiced cornflakes. Slide the momos into hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 6

Arrange them on a serving plate, drizzle cheese sauce over them, sprinkle fried garlic Serve hot with cheese sauce, sprinkle fried garlic, red chilli flakes and coriander leaves and serve hot.
