Ingredients list for Jhilmil ki Kheer
- 1/4 cup Sago soaked for 3-4 hours
- 1 cup Basmati soaked for 1 hour
- 1 litre Milk
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 tablespoon Almonds roughly chopped
- 1 tablespoon Cashewnuts roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- a pinch Green cardamom powder
- Few strands of saffron
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add almonds and cashewnuts and sauté till light golden.
- Drain and add basmati rice and milk and cook for 12-15 minutes or till the mixture thickens.
- Add sugar, green cardamom powder, saffron and mix well. Add sago, mix and cook further for 5 minutes.
- Transfer into small serving bowls and serve hot or chilled as desired.
