Ingredients
- 1½ -2 medium red bell peppers, finely chopped
- 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4-5 dried red chillies
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon carom seeds (ajwain)
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add red bell pepper and sauté for 30 seconds. Add dried red chillies, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, mix, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add salt, sugar and crushed carom seeds, mix and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and cool.
- Grind the prepared mixture to a fine paste.
- Serve.
