Jain Mexican Sauce This sauce has no onion or garlic. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Red bell pepper, Tomatoes Cuisine Fusion Course Gravies, Sauces and Stocks Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Jain Mexican Sauce 1½ -2 medium Red bell pepper finely chopped 2 medium Tomatoes finely chopped 1 tablespoon Oil 4-5 Dried red chillies to taste Salt ½ teaspoon Sugar ½ teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain) Method Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add red bell pepper and sauté for 30 seconds. Add dried red chillies, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes, mix, cover and cook for 5-10 minutes. Add salt, sugar and crushed carom seeds, mix and cook for a minute. Remove from heat and cool. Grind the prepared mixture to a fine paste. Serve.
