Ingredients list for Imli Tilwale Chawal - SK Khazana
- 3 cups Cooked rice
- 2 tablespoons Tamarind pulp
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
- 1/2 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
- a pinch Asafoetida
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick wok, add mustard seeds, split Bengal gram, , split black gram, and saute till the colour of the grams change.
- Add asafoetida, curry leaves, broken dried red chillies and green chilli and mix well.
- Add tamarind pulp and 2-3 tbsps water and mix well. Add salt, turmeric powder, roasted peanuts, sesame seeds and rice and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with sesame seeds and a coriander sprig and serve hot.
